Healthy Baby Food on Vacation? Yes Please!

Getting ready to hit an exotic beach in August? Just because you’re going on vacation doesn’t mean your baby has to take a vacation from healthy eating. Lugging along your own homemade baby food can be a pain and may not really be an easy option if you’re flying somewhere farflung. Luckily, many top luxury resorts now offer gourmet, homemade baby food to satisfy their health-conscious clientele.

Esperanza, An Auberge resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, has a trendy farm-to-table menu just for babies. Organic fruits and veggies are sourced from local farms and their own gardens to create flavors, including pear with banana and cinnamon, avocado and agave, baby carrots and zucchini, and baked sweet corn and parsnip carrot.

The Iberostar Paraiso Maya, in Mexico’s Riviera, has a custom Babies Kitchen, including a refrigerator stocked with baby food made by the staff.

Eden Roc in Cap Cana in Punta Cana, Mexico, which launched a new VIBabies program in June, offers a specially-designed baby food menu featuring homemade dishes from fresh organic products, and fresh milk in your room. There is no pre-set baby menu – guests can request any combination of  ingredients.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts offer in-house, organic baby food upon request.

Isle de France St. Barth recently introduced custom blends of vegetables, potatoes, fish and meat on its “Pour les Bébés” menu.
