It’s not always easy finding responsibly made toys, so I’m so excited when I discover a toymaker that just gets it right. That’s why I’m in love with Cate and Levi (cateandlevi.com), a brand created in Toronto by Josh Title, a dad who noticed a lack of responsibly made, beautifully designed products for kids. The company sells stuffed animals, organic clothing, pillow pals, adorable puppets, and more, which are all handmade at their studio in Canada out of reclaimed wool.
Why reclaimed wool? Well, the whole process is gentler on the environment because it reduces the need for new materials which require water and oil for production.
The company is truly run with the philosophy of doing good: a percentage of its profits are donated to funds that help children in need.
Just check out some of these amazing, cuddly puppets:
On Memorial Day weekend, we’re sponsoring the kids area at the incredible Lightning in a Bottle music festival and we’ll have a selection of Cate and Levi puppets there for families to enjoy. We’ll tell you more about our involvement in this awesome fest soon. Stay tuned!
